Welcome Letter for 2010-2011 School Year
Staff Line Up
Mrs. Twinkie Diaz will be our kindergarten class teacher. She has a great love for children that is evident with her 12 years of homeschooling and 8 years at Grace Christian Academy.
Miss Sam Flaming will our elementary through high school class teacher. She has been with Grace Christian Academy for 10 years, worked for 1 year at Benson Middle School as a Special Ed Par-Professional. She was also a substitute at New West Schools and is finishing her AA in Fine Arts degree.
Pastor Lupe Diaz is our fearless leader in our efforts to make sure our children are brought up in a Godly manner as our Principle. He has a BA in Theology and has been on Faculty at Cochise College (Tumbleweed Tech) for 4 years.
Summer Activities and plans for the school year
Through the summer we administered diagnostic tests with our newest students. We are working on plans to have more field trips and actual experience type education, especially with the older ones. We like to make the time here fun, exciting, and educational for all the kids. We will also have adult friends of the school come to present what they do for a living; this will give the students a broad view of the trades and professions available to them. If you have any ideas along this line please let me know.
Parent Orientation
This is a time to give the parent a clear view of what the general policies and procedures are and to go through the hand book and changes form the previous one.
Our Commitment
As you know we are committed to training our children the ways of God. It is our (you as a parent and us helping you) purpose to educate the children with the understanding that God is involved in the world around them. Honoring God is the core of our curriculum. God is Creator of the world and involved in all of its disciplines, business, politics, medicine, social sciences, music, art, logic, literature, history and science. We are living in a world where God has been censored from the pages of history in an effort to omit God and create a new set of values and beliefs. This is classically called reconstruction-ism and is a deliberate attack against God. Knowing this we have chosen to acknowledge God?s involvement in the history of mankind and so we are committed to passing this on to our children.
