Pastor gave the youth a challenge to gather 8-10 kids for church on Sunday
and we would start a youth ministry.
They had 5 youth gathered on Sunday!
Please keep this in prayer as we look to expand the ministry to the young.

My family is a very good family. My parents are wonderful Christians and have always showed me the love of God by the way they live. I have always been saved and for the most part of my life, I would say a pretty good Christian. Then high school came around. I went through “ phases ” where I would be all “ christian ” and then turn around and down the road be TERRIBLE. This happened multiple time. I became a homosexual, a partier (drinking and weed), bad language, and was always putting people down. My life all changed when my parents found out about my lifestyle and I tried to kill myself. While laying in the hospital bed, watching my mom cry, I realized I had messed up BIG TIME and I had to find God again. A couple days later I went to a YoungLife camp at Windy Gap and my life did a 360. I was recommitted to the Lord and I have been going uphill ever since. It took awhile to get over the pain, depression, and make a new reputation for myself, but now my life is amazing and God has blessed me beyond imaginable. Now I live as a follower of Christ and I am involved in many Christian youth groups/organizations and I live my life as an example of Christ. I thank God everyday for blessing me. I know he did not allow me to die in that hospital bed because he had better plans for me.
In 2001 my mom died. I lived in another state and it was not the best place to live. One day I went across the street to see a friend of mine. Later I returned to the house where I found my mom struggling with an asthma attack. She asked me to go get help, but couldn’t get anyone to help. I came back to check on my mom and found her laying on the floor. I went outside and screamed. People came to help, by giving CPR, but it was too late. She died that night in the hospital. It tore me up on the inside.
I started going to church soon after and got saved by trusting in Jesus. At first I was afraid to get saved, but I didn’t want to end up like my mom and do drugs and drink. I learned by trusting Jesus I wouldn’t want to do those things. Trust in Jesus. - Crystal
When I was about nine years old I started going to church. I didn’t really understand what was going on, but I professed to get saved because that was what everyone else was doing. By the time I was eleven years old, I realized I wasn’t really saved. I learned more about God’s word, and I truly accepted Jesus into my life, as my Lord and Savior. There have been times where I have drifted away, but I realized that serving the Lord is the best thing that I could spend time on. I have been praying for myself and my youth group to grow in the Lord Jesus Christ. - Philicity
After I got saved at the age of 8, I started having health problems. I was on strong medicines that caused me to have anger problems. As a result I went through counseling. Soon after that time I had a kidney rejection. I prayed both times that the Lord would help me get through those problems. I can say he answered my prayers and I am blessed to be here. - Thomas
I received Jesus Christ as savior between 8 and 9. In one part in my life my two grandparents died within two weeks of each other. I acted out on these hurt emotions. I started smoking and was angry all the time. One day I almost got hit by a car and helped me wake up.
I started listening to what people were saying about Jesus. I realized I needed him to straighten out my life. I got saved and I am now living a new life. - Marvin
I got saved when I was 12 years old after hearing a preacher preach about salvation. I stayed behind and talked to him and accepted Jesus as my savior.
A year later my grandfather died and it devastated me. I gave that burden to the Lord and knew that I would see my grandfather again someday in heaven.
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18 - Bryce
My name is Makala and my life is important now. I have now been saved for two months. I gave up cheerleading to be in the Lord’s house. Jesus died for me and that is more important. John 3:16 - Makala
When I was a young boy my brother and I were running around the house and began to think about hell. I recalled hearing my Sunday school teacher talk about Jesus and getting saved. I knew if I didn’t get saved my sins would send me to hell. I stopped what I was doing and asked Jesus to come into my heart.
I have had ups and downs since that time. I always remind myself what the scriptures say, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth thee." Isaiah 26:3 - Jonathan
In 1999, my dad almost died. He was two blocks away from putting up his police bike when a truck ran a red light and my dad hit the truck at 60 mph. He spent 44 days in the hospital and 6 months in rehab. Through that process I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour. Now my dad is back in the hospital and I pray every day for him.
I have made many friends here at church and I am glad that God allowed me to come here and meet such wonderful friends.
I thank God everyday for good friends. - John
When I got saved I was six years old and my grandma lived in the house right next to where I lived. She started talking to me about getting saved and knowing the Lord. I decided to make the decision to ask Jesus into my heart. We went into a room and that is when I got saved.
I got saved when I realized I knew the difference between right and wrong. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour. I believed He died on the cross to save me from my sins so I could spend eternity in Heaven with Him. God has been good to me and He blesses me in a lot of ways. I am very thankful to have such a friend as Him. - Jessica
My name is Cecily. I am 18 years old and far from perfect! I grew up going to Church and my granddaddy is a pastor. Though I’ve pretty mush lived a Christian life ever since I can remember, I know that I am a sinner. I thought that I got saved at the age of 9 and believed that for a little while. However in 2007 at the age of 16, I questioned whether or not I was really saved. It was a horrible feeling not knowing for sure that I was saved after all the years that I thought I was. I was convinced. But one night my church had a youth meeting and it was like something was telling me to ask the Lord to save me! I did, and it was like a heavy weight lifted from me and brought tears to my eyes. Now I know for sure that I am saved and going to heaven to be with the Lord! It is an amazing feeling to know that the Lord died on the cross for me, a sinner! The Lord has really blessed my life in so many ways and helped me get through some really hard times in my short teenage life. He gives so much hope and I love being a Christian and living a Christian life. I am still learning to serve the Lord and love every minute of it. There are hard times in the Christian life, but I have learned that Jesus can get you through anything. Everything happens for a reason. - Cecily
My name is Daniel from TN. I grew up going to a church there where I received and dedicated my life to the Lord Jesus Christ at the age 12. However, as I grew older and seeing the worldly things in the world. I stopped going to church and started doing and going bad places. I started hanging out with the wrong crowd. I started partying, cussing, being destructive and destroying people’s things and property. I was headed down a dark road with no light in sight for about 6 years. One night, me and my so called friends at the time were even shot at and became close to being seriously injured. I even went to jail one night for getting into a fight all because I wasn’t thinking. My temper got the best of me and I was drunk. This and so much more led up to the age of 20 and then I met Chelsea and the Crofford family and went to Church with them. I found myself over the months becoming closer to them and the church and fading away from my dark life and past. I was starting to see the truth thanks to my church family. I started wanting to learn more about Jesus Christ and His word. So, I started asking questions and coming to church every chance I could. I talked to whoever I could and whenever I could. Then after a lot of soul searching and thinking I realized my sins of the past and I had to make it right with the Lord and really accept Him as my Saviour and that I was a sinner. So one day I walked down and rededicated my life to Jesus Christ at Church. From that day until this very day my life is at peace and content that I am a born again believer. God has blessed my life very much over my entire life, but these past couple of years have been the best of my life and I think that a big reason is because of my parents, the Church and most importantly the rededication of my life to the Lord Jesus Christ. - Daniel
When I was nine I lost my grandfather. He was the one who helped raised me and when he died I thought my whole life was over. I thought that my life couldn’t go on any longer. That’s why I pray every night to God to help me keep my head up. I pray that He guides my life day to day and I really thank God for this. - Brittany
6 or 7 years ago, my grandfather died. It devastated my family. He died the same day we moved into our new home. His death was one of the worst things that happened to my family, but as the Bible teaches, God always gives in return. As the family started to recover, the Lord gave my aunt a child. God gave us a new life to enjoy with our own. I thank God for my cousin Nicholas. - Dixon
My name is Nathan. My dad told me that God died for me and that I was a sinner. I was scared so my dad lead me to the Lord and I was saved when I was 8 o r 9.
I look forward to serving God. - Nathan
I’ve been going to church since I was little. My grandma always told me about the Lord Jesus Christ, and when I was old enough to understand the Bible I received Him as my Saviour. I was 9 years old when I was saved. When things got rough at home with my family at first I had forgotten that the Lord was ALWAYS there. However, I came back to God, He was there and was the best thing for my life. I have been serving God every since that day. - Paige
