We love Jesus
Dad’s Farm at Whetstone near Mustang Corners hosted Grace Christian Academy School. The farm featured a pumkin patch, petting zoo, covered wagon ride, and bucket train rides, and the owner hosted a question and answer time for the students and staff. The owner shared with us what it takes to grow organic produce and what varieties of pumkins he had on his patch. His 8 1/2 acres produces thousands of pounds of produce for the local market outlets. This made many of us want to plow a feild and grow something. The famer grows his crops under plastic and enriches the water he provides to his plants with nitorgen. The reason for this is that the plastic does not allow the air to reach the root system. This has cut down on the water usage, thus conserving water. Our host was very generous with his crops as he let the kids take baking pumkins home with them. We shared our baked cookies with them and they shared some tomatoes with us. This was a get learning experience for us all and a very enjoyable time .
The evening was cool but the campfire helped keep us comfortable. The trunk or treat and camp fire time on Halloween night was enjoyable. The treats were passed out, there were people sitting around the campfire talking and sharing their experiences of faith. There was music playing and people carving pumkins and just enjoying the pleasant evening. It is durning these times that people connect with people. It is great that the church provides such great opportunities to hang out. It is also the place you get to hear about the next events and find the encouragement from people who want to serve their community and church.
The movie “God’s Outlaw”, is a historical account of the life of William Tyndale. The history buffs loved this movie. It was featured last Friday night at the chapel. We served popcorn and soda for those that wanted to have this, who can say no to that. Enjoying a time together with those that you love and appreciate is alwasy a good time. We will be announcing the next movie coming up soon.
God has called us to help each other in time of need. We have seen many families helping each other in this time of economic downturn. The church in action, providing a place to stay for those in need, meals being shared, groceries bought for families, financial assistance provided for those in the church and funiture being shared for children in need. It is great being part of a sharing community.

Last Sunday’s Sermon title 07/30/11
God Stirs the Heart of the King to Build Him a House
Are you actively building up the church?
Are you encouraging others and are you being encouraged?
What is your role or gift in building the church?
How do you see
There were several of you that came up for prayer. Stand in the thing that you asked God for.
Taking the time to have testimonies during Sunday Service was great. It is good to hear what the Lord is doing with us. God is at work among us.
Make sure that you get a copy of “Positioning the Church for Discipleship” the theme is The Changes that Growth Brings. This article by Pastor will help you understand that with growth there is change, and how to best prepare for it. I will email it and place it in your bulletin this coming week.

One of our church members is in a position to help some of the people who are discharged from the recovery Treatment. Many of them are in need of clothing and prescription drugs. The co pay for the prescription varies in price. If you choose to donate to this ministry just write “prescription ministry” on your check. He also needs clothing so that he can have it available, if he is not able to use it; we will take it to Gospel Rescue Mission.
Some of you have encouraged us to share some of the routine monthly expenses in the church. It would really help if you can help cover these expenses:

Gospel Rescue Mission report – we heard that several of the men were encouraged through the message on how to build one another up (rather than tear each other down). They tell us they enjoy the music and the message. It was really hot and muggy. We almost had someone pass out at the service, it was so hot.
Duke a sponsor to the school donated six back packs and several school supplies. There are many of you, and the parents of the students who have done the same. It is truly a blessing to see what you have done in support of the school.
GO LIONS !!!
