The Creation and Governance of the Nations

Knowing the origin of nations can help determine your world view about nationalism. This can help people piece together how the nations relate to one another and why the nations will turn on Israel. For the Christian who is called to watch and pray this is key to the return of Christ.

Before the building of the Tower of Babble there was one language with one people working together against God. This is classic globalization. As the people built the tower, God saw what they were doing and confused their language. They separated by language and formed the nations. The nations of the world came from Noah’s son’s, Shem, Ham and Japheth. This is where the table of nations originated. Something you will not hear in public school. God has always been involved in the history of man. He is the one that sets up and brings down the kingdoms of the earth.

Genesis 10:32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

God divided mankind into various nations and they established laws that govern their people, created customs and adopted beliefs to live by. These are the things that separate the people of the world and so are walls. A look at history will show that God is the one that increases and destroys the nations (Job 12:23. Psalms 125:10) There are ancient people groups and nations that no longer exist, God was involved in there demise.

A look in the book of Daniel 2nd chapter we find there are several major players in our planet’s history; the Babylonian Empire, Medo-Persian, Greek Empire under Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire and the now developing Empire that is a mix of nations. God has a plan for each of them in this age and in the age to come.

As the people were divided into nations they were identified by geographical and ideological boundaries. Each of them developed their own identity which make them distinct from their neighboring countries. Today there is a push to deny their national identities for globalization and a one world order; no boundaries we are all human. the Globalist mantra is we are all citizens of the globe and part of the human community. So what does God say about the future of the nations?

God has a plan for the nations of the world

God Created the nations from the sons of Noah

Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

This one verse gives me hope that the United States will be one of the existing righteous nations when Jesus comes to rule the world. Nations have a responsibility to their citizens. Defining where the nations came from and that they have borders is key to understanding what its responsibility to its citizens. There has to be a standard to citizenship.
