The Key To Knowing God Is Talking With Him

Keys to getting close to God is talking to Him about the things that are on your mind and listening to Him. Doing these two things bring you close to Him, you know that you are in His presence and have His attention.
Every Tuesday night at Grace Chapel at 6:30 several of us pray, seek God and see Him answer our prayers. Here is where you see the power of God move the situations you pray about.
Most important is you can sense the Spirit of God. Pray and pray with others and see God touch your heart. This will inspire and bring life to that dying soul.  Your spirit needs this in addition worship on Sunday, to the instruction you receive in Sunday school, and the sermon you hear. This fills your spirit with the zoe life of God. You want to have peace and life? Pray.
Philippians 4: 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Any time you are worried or wondering about the circumstance you are in; bring it to the Lord in prayer. Get others to pray with you. Call the tell them to agree with you. There is power when you prayer with others. It is magnified. Read Acts 12. Peter is arrested the church prays. How God answers their prayer is the interesting part.
Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

My House shall be called the house of prayer…

If you need someone to pray with you concerning something you want to bring before the Lord, come and join us at Grace Chapel or email me or pm me and we will agree with you in the thing concerning you and the lives of those you are praying for. Many times we don’t vocalize our requests. It is important that God hear our prayers. Look at His promise to us.
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)
Keep a note book just for your prayer requests and write them down. It is great to see how God is actually working on these prayer requests. God sets things in motion when you pray. Going over my note book, I was able to keep tabs and see three things come to past, 1) a family found the town house that they wanted along with furnishings 2) there is a transformation  in the life a special person who has left addiction 2) a need was met for a person who works closely to me. God is good, we give Him thanks for helping with these things and for who He is.
Join us in approaching God, giving Him the thanks and bringing the things that we would like to see Him change around us. Prayer will change you.
Pray. Pray with us.
